Valley Vettes

The first Corvette was produced in 1953.  As the years progressed, each new series of the car was designated with a "C" and a number.  The first Corvette in 1953 was designated as C1 and the numbers continued upwards until the present platform, the C6 which was introduced in 2005.  This page illustrates the entire family, generation by generation.
C1, from 1953 to 1962, 53 showing.

The 53 and 54 were equipped with a straight six.    It was 1955 before the 265 V8 was made available and 1957 before the 283 V8 made it's debut.
C2, from 1963 to 1967, 63 showing.

The introduction of the famous "STING RAY"
The 63 split window coupe is a very sought after model.
C3, from 1968 to 1982, 68 showing.

Unofficially dubbed the "Shark," the 1968 Corvette embodied modern, clean, aerodynamic lines complementing its powerful small and big block engines.
C4, from 1984 to 1996, 84 showing.

This was the first, all-new Corvette since 1968's Mako Shark.
C5, from 1997 to 2004, 97 showing.

New from the ground up, it was the most thoroughly "new" Corvette in the model's 40+ year history. Unlike previous model changes, when major components were carried over from one generation to the next, all exterior, interior, power, drivetrain and suspension elements were new and designed with the 1997 specifically in mind.
C6, from 2005 to present, 05 showing.

The 2006 Z06, with its 505-horsepower  LS7 7.0L engine, racing-bred suspension, hydroformed aluminum frame and unique bodywork, the Z06 is the fastest, most technologically advanced production model in Corvette's 53-year history.
